I love this sweet boy!

He is doing really well, they are slowly weaning him off the
ventilator and all his vitals look great!

Out of surgery!

Brian is settled into the ICU and doing great! There are lots of
lines and tubes but his nurse says that he looks very strong and could
possibly even get out of there tomorrow if everything goes well today
and tonight. We will keep you posted!

They got him in his hospital gown and took him to get prepped for
surgery about 6:30.

A quick update

Just wanted to post, Brian is doing great, and is about 75% of the way
done. We should be able to see him about 2pm we are thinking! Thanks
for your prayers everyone!

Pre-Op day - Admissions

Well today is finally the start of Brian's surgical adventure. This
morning we arrived at the admissions area of the children's hospital,
and let me tell you this place is nice. Brian had lots of fun playing
in the admitting area, as you can see, while Kay filled out all of the
paperwork.

The guy at the front desk was really nice. He mentioned that when the
cardiac patients arrive they are usually so lively and have so much
energy (like Brian does). It is just such a shame that inside those
chests something just isn't right :-(

Abby's new haircut

Abby got her first haircut today! (And Brian got his 3rd ;) )

I kept hearing Abby say "I got a flower Mama!". She picked one out of
my yard for me. It would have been nice to have a pretty flower in the
yard, but hey, she is just so sweet!

Free ice cream is the best kind ;)

Today is free cone day at Ben & Jerry's so after school we had a
picnic and got free ice cream cones! Abby likes Mint Chocolate Chunk,
because that's what Daddy likes :)

Strawberries!

Abby and I planted some strawberry plants in our window boxes this year.  They are one of our favorite fruits and today the first one was red!  Abby was really excited and so I let her pick it and eat it :)
